The Scenic News/Tamborine Mountain News was the most widely distributed (7400+ copies per edition) free community newspaper in the Scenic Rim between 2016 and 2013.

Production was weekly/fortnightly over the seven years, with designer/producer Andrew Nagy and editor Gary Stubbs in charge for most of the duration. The paper has been running since 1958, and assumed new ownership in April 2023 – it is now running as the Tamborine Mountain News.

The newspaper featured local community stories, promotional material as well as a comprehensive business directory and display advertising for local and regional businesses.
